GMAIL vs HOTMAIL!!!

Postby BBOSAK2143 » Wed May 01, 2013 3:07 pm

Now take a guess which one is better???? Will give you a hint! With Hotmail phoney emails were being sent from my account some 5 years ago now. With GMAIL, I was just notified someone was trying to access my account from another country!!!!! Will assure all that I have nothing of value in my email, so there would be no monetary gain, especially since everyone here knows, til recently I was beyond broke! Sure have a few bucks now from a Grant, but have to be very very careful!!!! Still is a shame people have to stoop this low as to penetrate one's email account! Personally think there should be some kind of prosecution for events of such, but once again, with electronic transfers and addresses is hard to prove the culprit!!! The above mention with Hotmail is 100% true and swayed me to obtain a Gmail account. Since that point, this is the first time I have ever experience any major problems, will say at points is even better than US Mail!!! So with Hotmail, someone broke into my account and started sending phoney emails to buy stuff! My own brother called me on the phone to notify me!!! No message from Hotmail, just business as usual! You better bet I shut that account down the moment I heard about it! I am no salesman, and do not want emails being sent from my address to sell anything!!!!! I give things away when possible! So now with all that said what do you think is the better email provider????

Right now I use both. However, I am planning on setting up my own Email domain.

You don't need to have money. A hacker/garbage digger/low paid worker with access to all of your information(every corporation) can get a hold of your basic information and apply for a Credit Card in your name. If your credit sucks, they can put money on that card and build credit.., then after credit is established, they can max it, and ditch it.

And now, the completely true facts, as told by an anonymous man hiding behind a screen name:

ryanvade since you fancy rpm based distros, OpenSUSE has a nice easy mail setup. I'm working on mine right now, but using debian. Might be my next server how-to if i have some spare time...
