Just a few minutes ago I received this message when trying to practice skills on Cisco Netacad:
ENetwork PT Practice SBA
The purpose of this PT Practice Skills Based Assessment is to support student success by providing additional practice prior to taking the end of course hands-on Skills-Based Assessment (SBA). Students can use this assessment to help identify areas for further study and review. This exam will cover skills taught in the Exploration Network Fundamentals course. However, this assessment does not cover all of the content required for the end of course hands-on SBA. Additional practice is encouraged for areas not covered in this assessment. 2011, Cisco Systems, Inc.

To this I promptly responded with this email:
I am running a Linux system(Ultimate 3.5) very successfully with all updates of Java installed. I have no problems using Java for my Computer Science class which is Java-Oriented. To ensure I had the proper running environment, I checked with the Oracle Website which insured me, JRE was working properly via a demonstration at their site. Your site claims JRE is not running, which is not true. I have version 6 and 7 all installed, running at 100%. All other sites do not deny any Java functions. How can your site let us Linux users download and use PacketTracer with absolutely no problems but deny practice simulations online? I sincerely believe in Ultimate 3.5, as its developer is highly educated and motivated to provide the most current advances in computing! I refuse to use an operating system that does not want to move forward with current technologies. I do not understand how this kind of behavior can be acceptable to a company geared towards advancement in technology. Linux is highly developed and most likely at your side on your cell phone! I could understand an Operating system that is not developed, which can not use Java or PacketTracer but not in this scenario. To deny Linux, you might as well toss your phones in the trash!!! Linux is here to stay and should be recognized, since after all is a leader in current development of technologies. Please get it together over here and get back with technology and set it right for everyone! Bob Bosak. Java(JRE) main environment on Google browser is version 6.34. Java 7 is for my Computer Science class.
I am proud of Ultimate and won't hide or cower!!!! This is home and a great one it is! Dependability and reliability walk hand in hand on my CP! All due to Ultimate! If ever need be, would even sign a petition to keep it going! Anything to keep something as great so everyone can enjoy the same as I do everyday!!!!
