I have been having horrible luck getting older and lite versions of Ultimate Edition to see if I could get my older PC to run with the magic. 2.8 actually installed, and loaded, which is further than I got with Netrunner, some Mints, Satanic Edition 10.10, and good old Ubuntu 12.04. It was just bugging me that i could get Win7 to work on it but no Linux. Then I remembered that 3.0 gamers was a lite, installed, and I am running smooth with a dual boot. Life is good. Rant....grrrrr, cant we get torrents going for older versions, and maybe Black Opal? Thats how I got my 2.8 and 3.0 gamers.

Update...nevermind. This particular error requiring login seems to be more associated with graphics. It seems when it gets to be too much everything kind of resets a little, like going into a browser, or playing video. This happened in lite as well. I took all the cards out and replaced the graphics card with a much better one and put the sound back to motherboard. This fixed everything with an odd non-format support from my monitor message before loading. Naturally, I ripped 3.0 lite right out because I wanted 2.8, damn it. This taught me a valuable lesson. Do not mess with the Firefox browser. If millions of Apple/Mac people can go without flash then so can I. Reinstalled. Everything works well. It was a screen shot of this system, I saw somewhere, that brought me here in the first place. It's nice to have it working. :D

It would seem my issues here were in direct correlation with my old PC wishing for the sweet release of death. It should know better by now. I was understanding enough to relieve it of Ultimate Edition, as it is much too intense for this old machine of mine, but since I went through all of the trouble upgrading its hardware it owed me a little. I installed Ultimate Edition 2.8 on my other machine as I am not a big fan of not getting what I want and went with something less intense graphically, but clean, and of awesome utility.
