Try this.
Go here and download and install the .deb file. Then close and open your web browser.

I suggest you switch your web browser to Opera 10 beta until all the bugs are worked out of Firefox. More people are having problems lately. You want the .deb file either 32 bit or 64 bit depending on what version you are using.

I have this installed and no problem with sounds or other thing....
