Yes, With all the hype of Kde 4 and the newest gnome desktop, little has been said about the E17 desktop. Not only is it lightning fast, but has its own effects and uses far less resources than the 2 main stays. It would truly be interesting to have the 3 together in 2.0 and with compiz plus E17 ecomorph it may very well be unstoppable! Well, I am sure whatever 2.0 comes with, it will still be the greatest version to date. So keep up the great work!

That's the reason I stumbled upon Ultimate Edition. It being based on 8.04 Hardy now I can run Compiz with no problems. I'm sure there's a ton of users out there with that very common chipset. Any thoughts on that TheeMahn ?

That I don't know, this I can tell you... Ultimate Edition 2.0 is uploading as I type it has a newer kernel than even intrepid's kernel so this indeed may address your issue. After I installed it I had 0 updates so it is very current. I have updated the initial post and dropped screenshots so you may want to have a peek.

Best regards,

I am sorry, but it will be a while before I drop a download link. Slow connection sucks...

Uploading

After I get it uploaded I typically allow the admin, mods and mirrors 24 hours to get it first then I drop a link on the forum, I then write an "official" page for it (sometimes a day later to allow forum users the chance to get it before the heavy traffic flows in. As an estimate I would have to say sometime Saturday. Provided I see no heavy complaints from the admin etc. It runs perfect to me, and errors I have witnessed trying to install additional software such as google gadgets (there is no x64) & missing libs in intrepids repository are not my fault, which means they will not work in intrepid either (x64 that is w/o compiling them by hand).

I think this time I am going to write the official page the same day and only provide a link to the "main download server" & let the forum users work on the new download server (which will contain nothing but Ultimate Edition 2.0, it will be faster then the "main server" at least until I link it on the official page, which I will do the day after.

Just a heads up of what's coming.
