Wireless drives

Am using Ultimate Edition 1.9 on Toshiba L-45, I tried connecting to another Laptop (which had fedora) via wireless but i had a problem doing so. The other Laptop could not detect my laptop after many efforts it fail. I mean how do i connect/activate my wireless using this OS.Pliz help
