I was looking at Gparted and i wanted to change the name of a partition but I did ascendantly "set station label..."
now if I open Gparted i can't see my partitions... its shows my hdd as totely available... I'm afraid if I restart my pc i'll lose all my data...

plz help... what happens if I restart or shut down? do I lose everything?

Hi, did you save your partition table state? Or checked the box saying "format"?

i don't think I checked any box...

So my data isn't lost?

Not necessarily. Can you snap a screenshot of GParted and post it?

1: Open GParted
2: Press "Print Screen" button (on most keyboards it's on top of "Insert")
3: Open Gimp app File>New and than you'll see the settings will tell you "Clipboard just press OK"
4: Press CTRL+V
5: Save & post your image (but save as .JPG)

Is it your primary OS partition?

I have windows en linux... I think that windows is my primary os... but I can't see any of the partitions... I had... 5 partition: 1 ext3, 1 swap and 3 ntfs (one for my windows system and 2 for data)

May be try not to restart your system, just log out and log back in then open Gparted and see what happens...
