This was save as a file.
I cannot find anything to fix this and i copied the live cd kernel folder over mine. that did not work.
need help interpreting
Additional Info:
This all happened when i was tweaking with the kernel.i was looking to enhancing it. I dont know what all i did. one thing i recall doing was i typed
Code: Select all
sudo make allyesconfig
and unchecked dhcp and ipv6 support.of course now it will not go to the gui until i fix the error and I have this nvidia card with its xorg configured for twinview.I had to compile the latest drivers for it to get it the way i wanted.that was a bitch to do.i would hate to do that again. It say other things at bootup but dont know what all they are. It is stuck in read-only. it also trys to scan for errors every boot and i hit ctrl+alt+del to stop it. i know there is an issue .
I believe if I revert the kernel back to its default that i can fix my system.thus saving hours of time. I just cant find anything to do that from live cd. Live cd works and i am using it to type this.I do not want to reinstall. i am waiting for ultimate edition 2.0 to install on my 320gb hdd.
I have included the one of the .config and my xorg.conf file as well as hardware info to get an understanding of my system.
Comment:
Please help me with my .config file and my issue. I am not sure what to do.
I hope this is all the info required. i cannot open the preload.log file.

Don't mess with the kernel. It is the heart of your os. You were trying to do open heart surgery and you have lost another patient, doctor. Re-format and re-install!!
