I am trying to get evolution to work and when I try to send I get a message saying "STARTTLS Command First", what do I do now?

I finally got around to fixing the TLS settings and now I can send email but for some reason I don't seem to be receiving any. What am I doing wrong now.

Hi Nick, I can send but not receive email.
Here are my settings

Sending Email
Server Type: STMP

[u]Server Configuration
Server: Smtphm.sympatico.ca

Security
Use Secure Connection: TLS encryption

Authentication
Type: PLAIN

Receiving Email
Server Type: POP

Configuration
Server: pophm.sympatico.ca

Security
Use secure connection: SSL encription

Authentication
Password

Like I said I can send but not receive, so I figure my sending email settings are OK, but don't know what my receiving settings should be.

I finally got evolution working. There are so many different combinations of encryptions and servers and user names, it's headspinning. I just kept trying diferent combinations until it worked. HURRAH!!!.
Thanks for the set up URL, I could not have got it without that guidance.
