Hmmmmm, Ipod support :(

There is no getting around it, IT was created by apple, so was iTunes, and they are very tight with their source code. What this means to the average Linux user is:
1) Nothing integrates quite as well as iTunes.
2) Since iTunes was written for dummies It sucks.
3) Since you're running Linux You can make it do Anything, The trick is knowing how.
4) Even if you have the know-how it will take time to make all the custom tweaking.
5) Every release solves a few more iPod issues as this is one area the Ubuntu Developers are constantly working on. Intrepid is supposed to have made a few some of these issues a thing of the past, it will be interesting to see how far they've gotten.
6) As with any auxiliary device, The best way to find out how well it suits your needs
Is to simply plug it in and try it, if you find there is some feature missing Google!

PS: Since I'm lazy and only need the basic functions, I was pleased to find out that I didn't need to install or tweak anything, but just plug it in.

For everyday computer use for the home, Ubuntu is the best.
If you do a lot of work from home Windows xp sp3 professional is the best.
If you are really rich and and don't really want to learn anything use Mac.
If you want the best of everything set up a dual boot using Windows xp pro sp3 and Utimate on the same machine. Or even better, if you have two computers have Windows on one and Ultimate on the other.
That's what I do. If Windows won't do what you want use Ultimate. Between the 2 you will be able to do whatever you want!!
