Yes that is absolutely correct... i just tried to run live with ubuntu 1.6 that i burned when that first came out and i get the loop too... so i have no idea whats the deal...



SOLVED i restarted pc and did install via safe grafix mode... so i now have UU1.9 DUAL BOOT WITH VISTA ULTIMATE... i get a error: There was an error starting the GNOME Settings Daemon..

There were updates waiting to be installed.. so i did the updates now the error is gone... So i answered alot of my own questions... i feel like a noob but o well... UU1.9 kicks ass................

Yes it does kick ass and unlike Vista it installs with all 4 of my memory modules installed w/out error. LOL@Vista! :lol: BTW be sure to checkout Amarok it's the sheot. Windoze users haven't a clue as to what they are missing.

Day late and a dollar short again ... hehehe. I would have told you that VISTA needs a clean shutdown (no updates) to have Ultimate Edition's grub installed on a NTFS partition. These are things that are easily forgotten about with us full-time buntu users. We don't have to deal with stupid stuff like this. Thats why ext 3 is better in my book.
