Hello...
Over the past couple days I have been working to install Ultimate 1.8 after having tried other installations that have failed for one reason or another (usually something graphic).
Anyway, after many hours on Google, I have finally got my install up and running fine with the latest NVIDIA drivers for my 6800 GT. I've even figured out how to get the dual screen setup to work. I may sound proud because I am a Linux n00b, so this may sound petty to some of you, but to me, a long-time windows user new to Linux, this means a lot and is an accomplishment worth mentioning.
Anyway, I have another issue I would like resolved and I have already exhausted Google. Frankly, I'm not sure what to put into the search box.
When I play a video on the wide screen monitor (see my system specs in my sig), every few seconds, there will be a horizontal line moving up my screen. The line looks like someone sliced the video and shifted it slightly to the side. This is pretty annoying and I would really love for it to be resolved. The monitor works fine when I am booted into Windows XP SP 3 and with my Vista 64 system I also have hooked up to it that I can switch to via the "source" button.
Please help... I am at your mercy...
The following is my xorg.conf file:
