Is it possible to hide the top and bottom bars?

Postby GeauxGhoti » Sun Aug 26, 2012 10:15 am

First off, I should tell you that I'm a complete novice where Linux is concerned. I've been using Windows since everything was DOS and I never even looked at Linux until about 3 weeks or so ago. I was initially looking for something more appropriate to my skill level... A title like "n00buntu" or similar, but as I couldn't find that I decided to go with this for the vast array of options and things to learn... And confuse the hell out of me lol. Not doing too bad so far, and I'm loving it. I truly appreciate all the work your team is putting in to get this done for us, and keep it up...

Here's my issue... I'm having some minor troubles with video and games. I can't seem to figure out how to keep my video players from collapsing slightly to show the upper and lower bars, and it's making my gaming a real PITA, and causing me some annoyance when trying to watch a movie in full screen mode. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, I can't seem to keep my screen saver from coming on and I can't seem to find out where it's located. I've looked it for days, and I'm feeling a bit stupid for being unable to find it, considering all that I've already learned. Such a simple thing to be completely confounded by. Again, any help would be appreciate.

Thanx
