Whats Better for Mate? Ultimate Edition 3.5.2 or Ultimate Edition 3.4.2

If i wanted to use MATE as my primary desktop environment, while staying with Ubuntu 12.04 base, which version of Ultimate edition should I use? Ultimate Edition 3.4.2 or Ultimate Edition 3.5.2?

The reason i ask is because I've tried both and they both seem to work OK, but lets just use the login screen for example, if i want to change the setup of the lock-screen in 3.5 i think its based on KDE so gnome tweak tool is useless, where as in 3.4 tweak tool works. And this type situation plays into several things like what packages to install KDE or Gnome. So i figured i would switch back to 3.4.2 since its primary system is Gnome and Mate is Gnome based...

but some of the features of 3.5 are not present in 3.4 such as the notifications that are closable instead of just stuck to the desktop and blur out when moused over. in 3.5 these notifications are interactive and are framed out and have a close button,

But the differences are minimal between 3.4 and 3.5 so im wondering which Ultimate Edition version would be most stable for MATE. 3.4 also requires MATE to be installed manually, which i am using right now...

Mate holds a strong hereditary attribute from gnome 2.
Its stability is neutral across the linux spectrum.

In my experience, 3.5 works best with mate.
