I recently bought a new Samsung notebook with windows 8.1 and want to install Ultimate Edition alongside of windows but want to ask a few questions before making the attempt. So messing around in the bios I have the option to disable safe boot which I have and the pc still boots fine. I have 3 mode options to boot to UEFI Os, UEFI & Legacy Os, and CSM Os. Upon trying the different options the computer will only boot when set to UEFI Os. The other 2 selections just give me the black screen asking to insert a systems disk! Once I install Ultimate Edition and shrink the primary windows partition will I leave this setting alone or will I need to change it to UEFI & Legacy Os? I've done some research but am unclear on how this will turn out. I do understand that safe boot must be disabled but is grub going to be able to chainload the windows 8 os?
Still Noob!
