Font acquisition in EU 3.0 [SOLVED]

The Ultimate Guide for the rest of us

Font acquisition in EU 3.0 [SOLVED]

Postby erko » Mon Dec 12, 2011 3:45 pm

Via our LAN I moved-over a few fonts that I would like to utilize. They're sitting in a folder on the EU's desktop. Is it possible to get them where they would hypothetically belong? And if so, how do I do it?

Thank you in advance!

Hello erko.

Have you first try to install fonts from synaptic?
Have you install mscorefonts?

Hi Amir!

I think I'm in the process of downloading, via synaptic, the MScorefonts, now ...maybe?! I had to reload and get approval from MS. We'll see what happens!?

...Got it!!!

Times New Roman is now the default font in LibreOffice Writer!

Good job, Amir!!! :)

Thank you so much!

Glad you're all sorted with Amir's help.
Just to answer your 'hypothetical' question,
Your fonts should always reside in /usr/share/fonts

Cheers.
