Ultimate Edition 2.5-Debian

Postby tzeremes » Thu Apr 22, 2010 1:29 pm

Hi. I have my first laptop with Ultimate Edition 2.5 and the second with Debian Lenny. I wonder if there is a way to have the Ultimate Edition's updates, upgrates and installed applications in Debian.

No there isn't.These 2 distros are not compatible,Ultimate Edition 2.5 is based on Ubuntu Karmic 9.10 wich is based on Debian Sid/Testing(Unstable) repos.Debian Lenny 5.04 is Stable and older, you'd have dependencies issues.
Maybe if you upgrade your Debian you could install then Ultamatix on it.;) :)

If you upgrade lenny be aware your os can act more like ubuntu....along with some of their problems.

Then again my copy of a upgraded lenny a friend made is one of the most stable linux os's I ever used...after I worked out a few bugs.

Anyway the new Ultamatix works in Lenny too but it adds Ubuntu repos in your software sources list. ;)
