small graphic issue

Postby rick_161z » Fri Oct 09, 2009 5:45 am

first of all thanks for patiently replying my sometimes noob questions.
I have a small issue, after running orphaned libraries packadge, the login windows where is says "search"
is fuzzy(and different from earlier) and on the system or administration menus icons are no longer viewable in a single panel,I have to scroll down,as if the nvidia settings are changed.I have gone through all the system settings ,and any desktop settings and uninstalled the nvidia and reinstalled but no change also when I shut down I get a screen half black and half with some sort of white lines.Everything else works just fine.
thanks for the attention.
ciao

Thats what I thought...Nvidia needs to get their heads out of their arses.

In a nut shell....you have to reinstall your drivers.Theres plenty of info in the forums to guide you,or someone will jump in.Little tip: on my stable machine...never update.Thats why it stable. ;)

Maybe if you choose a lower kernel in bootup you will have a good screen?Doesn't hurt to try.
