Errors while using apt-get

Postby VanillaTbone » Tue Oct 14, 2008 8:14 pm

Hey guys,

I have been using Ubuntu for a few years, but it was off and on. I am currently running Ultimate 1.8 x64(Specs in Sig) and I'm having a little trouble when running apt-get. I also want to notify you that this same error happens when installing ANYTHING using any installer, whether it be Ultimatix, Synaptic, etc. :o

Here is what I'm getting: WARNING... Quite a bit of code here... :p
I tried to get the problem to come up, so I tried something as simple as "apt-get autoremove"

Code: Select all
joe@Joe-PC:~$ sudo apt-get autoremove
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 2 not upgraded.
8 not fully installed or removed.
After this operation, 0B of additional disk space will be used.

Also one more question while I'm on the topic of Updating/Installing. Is there a way to Update my 1.8 x64 to 1.9 x64 without downloading the whole DVD image and going through that crap?
