I now have a catalyst, everything is working beautifully, so far no flicker, I turned on all the compiz toys and played around every thing is great.
Time to test it with a dvd movie

Lol...every once in awhile Ill let one of my secrets out. I don't know Where I got that one,but check your cpu percentage.Is it high?or is it normal?


Just remember this won't work with Karmic....well it will with a lot more work...maybe.I'm still trying to figure out Karmic.

Oh ya one more thing....make sure you don't update to an higher kernel.No reason to anyways unless you have some hardware not working right.Its working,now leave it Also you just hacked apart your Jaunty install keep that in mind...but I always thought thats what linux is for.Making the OS "your" OS.

If I make a live DVD from my current install, all the changes that just happened should take place on the DVD for a backup wouldn't it?
I'd like to go ahead and back this up just in case something slips by me and I upgrade something I shouldn't.

Do you sleep update?Nothing will update unless you tell it too.Just shut off the auto update in synaptics.
