So, how would you recommend to have a stable, well integrated KDE desktop added to 1.7, 64-bit ? I am not especially needing the Kubuntu enhancements. I think Dolphin crashed a lot, in my opinion. Just a good KDE is fine with me, but Kubuntu-desktop is fine, too.

THIS CAN BORK YOUR Ultimate Editionyou have been warned...
1. Make sure all repo are enabled including backports
I don't suggest doing it in this fashion always better when "built" this way, but your request is my command (in a terminal):
- Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
or as reconstructor does for me:
- Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install -y --allow-unauthenticated kubuntu-desktop kate-plugins kcpuload kdeaddons kdeadmin kdeartwork kdegraphics kde-icons-* kde-kdm-themes kdenetwork kdetoys kdeutils knetworkmanager kuake
Sorry if you get the hammer (untested)
