Tweaking 4 LapTops

Hi! my first install was 1.6 (but i was already downloading 1.7 when i read the tweak howto) then i migrated to 1.7 so i decided to make the tweaks proposed by theeman.

As he uses a Desktop PC he proposed a series of tweaks that don't affect a Desktop but laptops.

As i'm new on Ultimate Edition (linux) i'vde decided to ask for help creating this topic. (also want to help noobz)..

I really do not recommend to disable (using a laptop):

acpid
hddtemp
powernowd
apmd
laptop-mode
acpi-support

i disables a couple of these a week ago and my laptop was on fire (my legs felt it that way).
If anyone can post a reply saying if "Tweaking EXT2 & EXT3" affects battery's life.

Any laptop tweak is accepted!

Este tema es para los que deseen tunear su Ultimate Edition instalado en una laptop.

No les recomiendo desactivar los siguientes servicios:

acpid
hddtemp
powernowd
apmd
laptop-mode
acpi-support

Desactive un par de servicios hace 1 semana y la verdad mi lap se estaba incendiando! Estaba calientisima!
Si alguien sabe si el "Tweaking EXT2 & EXT3" afecta la vida de la bateria les ruego lo posteen!

En estos momentos estoy traduciendo los tweaks propuestos en el "howto", pronto lo postearé, espero les sirva de ayuda, si me animan lo terminaré más rapido ya que sabré de entrada que le servirá a alguien. Esta y más ayuda en español la pueden encontrar en mi blog http://madbwoy.wordpress.com

First of all welcome to Ultimate Edition..and thanks for a well put together Post..The "tweaks" are really for 1.5 editions and lower..and like you have posted not to be followed to the letter with the Laptops..there are warnings of the use of the tweaks on 1.6 and newer..thank you for bringing this to light,,Gracias..
