Obviously this is a sign that KDE sucks and should not be touched. Real Men use Gnome.

If you want fire we can configure the Burn animation. The KDE thing, though, not so much.

OUCH! LMAO!!!! I didn't even realize it came with KDE.... LOL~!

Good answer.

Now, to get you some Fire, how about when you open, close or minimize a new window?

Go into CCSM, double-click on the Animations plugin:

EDIT: Helpful Screenshot!

* Close Animation
Double-click on the first entry ("Glide 2" by default) and pick Burn in the drop-down menu.
Additionally, double the Duration to 400, or just play with the numbers.

* Minimize Animation
Double-click on the first entry ("Zoom" by default) and pick Burn again.

* Open Animation
Double-click on the first entry ("Glide 1" by default) and pick Burn.
Double the duration again... Whatever. Play around with the numbers all you want.

Using random colors for the particles is nice too, though it looks like multicolored particles more than flames... Still very cool.

For more fun setting up Compiz see this beginners guide. Skip down to the part where it starts configuring the desktop cube, since you already have Compiz and CCSM installed and working.
I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am...

If it's not broken, you haven't tweaked it enough.
