I'm new in this Forum and I have never before install a Linux system. OK. Now I want to install a Linux system. The Ultimate Gamers Edition. Ok so far. But now I have a problem -.- I don't know how I can istall de System. I have a Intel mac with a Windows XP. ans I want to install the Linux on a extern Hard Drive(Hard Disk?) (Festplatte). What I have to do to install the Linux on a extern hard Disk? In which format I should format the Hard disk? And how big have to be the space on the disk?

I hope someone can help me to install the system -.-

PS: Sry. for my bad english -.- I don't know enough words to say 100% correct what I want -.-

Just need to ask a few questions ... Does your Computer allow booting from USB device (option in BIOS)?
If so, then it shouldn't be a problem at all.
Second thing to ask is ... Are you willing to devote the whole external hard drive to the OS or just a portion?
To answer one of your questions ... Typically the EXT3 format is the standard, but you could use reiserFS or XFS format as well. You could look HERE for a brief discription of the pro's and con's between the different formats (towards the bottom of the how-to). When you post back with some answers, I could help you out with the install. Its rather painless ;)
