[ 326.963390] ata4.00: failed command: READ DMA EXT

DMA or Direct Memory Access Leans me tword issues related to hardware failure or a permission related issue. Seeing as it works in other operating systems once again leans me tword a permission related issue. My main rig at the house (at gf's house atm) is solid sata and 0 burners, crammed full of hard drives. Something I am going to have to address perhaps a esata Bluray burner. There is absolutely nothing wrong with IDE a older technology, but does the same job. I remember getting my first sata burner and having nothing but issues with detection as sata hardware drivers were in it's infancy. With IDE this should not be the case, a solid foundation has been put in place through years of development.

A google of "failed command: READ DMA EXT" yeilds About 86,500 results a massive undertaking. These are the steps I take in fixing bugs in the operating system as I am building it, however since I have 0 burners it would have never showed up. All I can do to best help you is to provide the link as I just have. Google is your buddy.
