Going to love this one!!!! Finally broke down and got gmountiso which told me Brasero made a pile of junk! Apparently was not in the iso format I needed! Haven't had the original iso in a long time and have usually had success making Iso's with Brasero! Not this time! Created on command line and am going through the processes to redo Ultimate to bring it to the 3.7.1 kernel. Have it downloaded from kernel.org. Will be great to have it with the new kernel and compiler! If am successful and believe me I will test it on my own stuff before would push off to anyone!!! If is good will try to get to the school to upload it wherever you want to suggest!!! Really think Ultimate deserves the latest and greatest, since it was put together so perfectly! Lots of fun to have here, is once again a great experience. Just wish I could realize the obvious a little better!!! Always have had that problem!!! Well just extracted filesystem.squashfs and am beat! Will be on it more tomorrow! Is really interesting!!! Next deal is try and get my own going! Just have to give back something to the best OS and greatest developer have ever seen!!! Just hope to make a great contribution as I truly believe Ultimate is the best of them all!!!! Thanks for the help as it sure made me think of getting gmountiso to check it!!! Small things that count big!!!! Thanks and great wishes for the best Christmas Pam, pc and everyone at Ultimate!!!

Trying this Ubuntu Builder as is a little easier than all the command lines! First shot was a dump messed it up! Learning experience, I suppose. Don't use synaptic for removing and installing big ticket items! Should have known that from one of the distros in the past , just didn't work! Starting off with the compiler first is a big one! Have to be on the right compiler so this kernel will go in correctly! Not sure might even wind up on 3.8 kernel before am done! Will just have to see is one project, but want to get it great so we all can enjoy! Is more exciting than movies and TV to me! Is sure a fun one and once again learning much from it! Would probably take a few years of school to do this perfect one shot, but am lacking in that department! Think I might have enough info and know how to construct one from ground up, but pulling it apart and updating it to the present is rough! Have to start somewhere though with learning all this! Is wild as back in April could hardly load a Linux system and now am rebuilding one! Have everyone here at Ultimate to thank as you have taught me the most useful things I have ever learned off any forum! Others when I was confused would treat me poorly and not help! Everyone here has gone above and beyond, and I promise will do my best to match that!!!! Really hoping will be done with all this by New Year's and can welcome in the new year with Ultimate up to date and ready to rock! Am looking forward to this new year as Linus and TheeMahn are pushing linux to the front of the bus! They are just plain tired of being thrown under the bus!!!! Am sure by the end of next year won't mention the name, but that one will be under the bus! Linux will be driving the bus!!!! Their forums are uppidy and those that have knowledge just laugh at others! Everyone here should be proud as are the cream of society! You help everyone no matter where they are at in their knowledge!!! Always thanks and once again on this Christmas Eve, Merry Christmas and best wishes to all!!!!
