Hey you gave me the link Micro!!!! That was quite great and helpful!!! Will give my thanks to Tammy soon also! Right now is a little headache with ATI. Has been the story of my life with them! They always confuse me with all their numbers. Unsure if present download will work but is supposed to be for my integrated board, but claims only good to kernel 3.4! This is why I wanted to avoid format/reload! Hate doing it when there is no definite success! Sure when you're dead in the water and have nothing, you have no choice! When you're functional and running you want to check things out to find the best way if you are to reload! If this card is not going to be supported, am afraid will have to do the recovery and uninstall this one. Of course first would see what all is affected, so far only missing compiz and splashscreen but everything else seems functional! Am really hoping this driver am downloading now will repair this situation. Would be great to know the path is clear if I decide to reload. Might not if I find those other crazy files weren't copied to this kernel! Could just unload with the 3.2 if all goes well! Well did get my answer, appears part of the header didn't install! Any clue how to get this one? /lib/modules/3.7.0-030700-generic/build/include/linux/version.h Seems that is the only thing holding me back from fully done! Got to go to the store and stuff, hoping someone has a good option! I mean am not far away at all. Just no compiz and no splash! Maybe is a file that can even just be copy/pasted to the proper folder from a download and be done with it! Not sure but like saving time and not having to reload everything if possible?
