Thanks a million! Burned a disk and presto, there she goes!
MOBO is on the way so gotta go with the FX8350. Can't return "open box, no I/O plate" at ebay, I'm thinkin'... Not that big a deal to me. What IS is that Tiger Direct onine chat tech said that the board WAS compatible! That burns me up, cause I would have FRIED everything. UNDER powering electronics can be worse than over powering them...though if it were THAT large a discrepancy, things would fry either way, most likely! Sometimes the digi-tronics enigineers / companies do some Real Head-scratchin' stuff...If a next-gen set of CPU's isn't compatible with a certain set of previous-tech MOBO sockets, then it SHOULD b a NO-Brainer! NEW set of cpu's >>>NEW Socket...
K! Sorry, enough rant...on with it.
PSU...gotta do the math after the LAST part is ordered, cause when the prices change, my mind follows
. I have an olter Antec (seasonic) 550 W modular I had planned on using, and if it's enough power and a bit extra, then I only had to spend $10 on a SINGLE, 4 slot SATA power cable and a f Sata - to - m Molex adaptor, so NO MORE extra POUND of copper and plastic clutterin' things up in there... yeah!
With the UEFI Q, all I really want to know is can you access the UEFI GUI from the 4.2 desktop?
...don't give a HOOT about a touch screen...
Now I just gotta get my wireless router "Log-in-able". When I first got it a couple weeks ago, my lappy would NOT connect...just one little green light was it. Then I got a PCIe wireless card for the rig, and It did the Same thing. I've restet it, FROM the desktop, NOT the button. Then I put a "Password" for the ssid and
"Hid"
the thing. STILL no go. Hope frontier will Remotely log into it and see what the matter is, 'Cause I want my BOX across the room from the phone jack.
Anyway,
Thanks, kind sir!
Have a great day
