Let me address this, there will never be a Ultimate Edition 2.9 Gamers. Gamers is built on all even numbers. The reason I build off the even is because KDE, XFCE etc suck up a bloat of the disk. 3 GB is gone a DVD of 4.3 GB does not leave much for games. This is why we go in this direction. Sure one could argue, why not lite to gamers. A great multitude of support for gaming is also gone sdl libraries etc.
I want to step out and whack myself
to say I have most likely upset a few people in making Ultimate Edition 2.9, why? First and foremost delivered by one of my admin, if KDE was the focus of intention should KDE not be the default environment? Sure it is there and easily changeable to it at your login. Then falls the proverbial, what if you were a newbie. Would you know how? I will sulk myself until Ultimate Edition 3.1 thinking about that 1, I will not let you or anyone down again. Minus there will not be a Ultimate Edition 2.9 gamers
If I told you how I found this post most would cringe. I typically only do so a few days after release. That is a new topic. Google brought me here.
